Not sure if this is right for this forum (mods please move or delete if not). But I am in Shap this September and looking to do an overnighter on High Street down to the Southern end of Haweswater. My dilemma is whether I should Tarp or tent. I was hoping to get to the southern end of Hawswater in a day (about 15 miles down High Street) to find somewhere to Tarp and hammock, but I am thinking this might be a little optimistic.
Anyone know the area well and can suggest possible camp areas.
