Thought I would join bushcraftuk as a friend has invited me to one of the meets in the South.

I'm an ex-RAF photographer, unable to work at present but trying to keep busy when I can! I'm learning to weld at the moment and plan to make lots of handy camping things (will post photos). I've always been an outdoors guy and get out in the woods at any opportunity. I have usually spent my nights either in a Vaude mkII light or under a tarp in a hammock. Unfortunately I now need room to stand as well as somewhere flat to sleep, so think I'll be getting a Tentipi Safir 7 (any excuse eh?)

Hopefully I'll be able to meet a few members, share some experience and learn lots too.
