Hello everybody
Name's Doug from sunny Glasgow. Just joined here having got back into bushcraft after a few years hiatus.
Having grown up wild camping and building shelters and fires (of the bad variety, in retrospect) and going on to spend a few years in the Army doing much of the same I managed to get distracted by other things / real life in recent years.
Since leaving the army Ive lived in a flat in the city, but now happiness is coming to the fore with an imminent move to a wee semi-rural cottage and a return to outdoor skills and general wellbeing.
Ive been trawling a bunch of youtube videos recently for inspiration and refresher learning which has proven extremely helpfull - big shoutout to Craig at LeafLifeBushcraft btw, top vids mate
Anyway thats my current state of play. I hope to start making more youtube vids and to use those to chart my progress and to keep my learning somewhat focussed.
Thanks everyone for this great forum, its been really informative so far just as a lurker so its nice to finally say "hello"
