Helsport Stove

Hi, hoping someone with experience can help me.

I recently purchased the helsport stove to go with my Kongsvold camp and once filled with wood i noticed after i turned all the lights off that most of the stove and the 1st section of chimney was glowing red.
Is this usual or was i running it too hot? It's the first time i'd used a stove by the way.

No it's fine, just a sign of a good burn going on.

I vaporised a down gilet on mine so be careful.

I can imagine most things vaporising if it came in contact with one glowing red. Cheers for the heads up

Ive not got my helsport glowing red.... but I wish I could thats a good thing, I can't see, to get great airflow with it?

Yep, freaked me out the first time I saw it on my Kifaru stove - it makes the metal look sort of transparent and weak, but it's perfectly fine.
