Help please U2 or mini Griptillian or...

I need some help on deciding what locking folder I should go for but I have whittled the choice down to the U2 or the Mini Griptillian 556 or ?? (something else sub £60) for when I am out walking.

I want to use them for slitting small kindling, making feather sticks, Lighting with a firesteel and maybe some light batoning.

Mini griptillian without a doubt. Has a slightly larger blade than the U2 - the U2 is more an office knife than an outdoor one.

I agree with the Bardster - I have both knives and the Grip is easily the most useful.

As before, i'm a big fan of the EKA Masur because it's not only nice and comfy and compitent for most tasks but it also looks nice...

There are many many fine choices in this thread but I think most people seem to like the griptillian... They can't all be wrong

And if you really want the best then get the Doug ritter version, Doug Ritter is a US survival guru and has taken the Benchmade griptillian and had them make a version for him with a better steel blade and different blade profile. It is without doubt the best folding field knife i have used ( I have 8 griptillians inc 3 Ritter versions, so a little Biased )

I found the mini grip a little small, the full size grips are a class act.
I have the Ritter version and it's one knife that i would not part with.
The U2 is a nice wee knife but it is pretty small.
