I need some help on deciding what locking folder I should go for but I have whittled the choice down to the U2 or the Mini Griptillian 556 or ?? (something else sub £60) for when I am out walking.

I want to use them for slitting small kindling, making feather sticks, Lighting with a firesteel and maybe some light batoning.

Thanks

Marco

And if you really want the best then get the Doug ritter version, Doug Ritter is a US survival guru and has taken the Benchmade griptillian and had them make a version for him with a better steel blade and different blade profile. It is without doubt the best folding field knife i have used ( I have 8 griptillians inc 3 Ritter versions, so a little Biased ;) )

Try Charity Chimini over on British Blades. I've bought a few knives from her and the service is as good as you could hope for.

I found the mini grip a little small, the full size grips are a class act.
I have the Ritter version and it's one knife that i would not part with.
The U2 is a nice wee knife but it is pretty small.
