Both use the same technique of a single cut without removing any wood but Kolrosing is using charcoal powder whereas Barkrosing is using Barkpowder.

in which case this is coffierossing!

Proper job that Mr Fish, really like it.
I think I must be a Bakeroser as i used Cinnamon power last time, after using up the last of the Birch bark :)

still barkrossing, even with cinnamon. It is the bark of some tree or other. I have done kol- and barkrossing(with bark from an UTO "unidentified tree-like object"), and have found the latter to be cleaner to apply, not sticking in the wood as much.
