Joined Bushcraft UK to share practical field-tested tips and learn from seasoned outdoors folks - especially about long-term foraging and cold-weather shelters. I’ve done multi-day solo treks in the Carpathians and coastal survival drills, so I’m comfortable with core skills but always refining. Currently deep-diving into natural cordage and advanced firecraft methods - keen to discuss reliable techniques or gear mods that actually work when it matters.

I don't think I've seen it yet. Thanks for posting, because at first glance a lot of interesting information. I'll read it over tea tonight!
Hey DariqWosh, welcome to the forum!
Since you mentioned you're diving into firecraft - do you have a go-to method for starting a fire in really wet conditions? I'm looking for techniques that won’t fail when everything’s soaked.
For soaked conditions, I swear by a ferro rod + wax-infused tinder tabs - they ignite with one spark even after being submerged, burning hot enough to vaporize damp kindling. I keep both sealed in their waterproof capsule case as non-negotiable EDC; never failed me in Scottish downpours.
