Hello from Warwickshire

Hi All

I recently found you guys and have been so impressed with the way this forum operates, makes a nice change from some forums where everyone seems to be having a go at each other. Also it is brilliant to see such a range of top quality craftsmanship within the group.

Brief intro on myself - always been interested in the outdoor life and was lucky enough to live in Norway for almost 10 years so had some great experiences out in the fjells there. They have what they call something like every mans right which means you have the right to roam and pitch a tent anywhere you like within reason - they are a bit restrictive on fires during the summer months due to uncontrolled fires breaking out I guess.

I am hobbyist hedge layer which gives me lots of opportunities to be out in the fresh air, light some good fires and occasionally have a pipe of baccy to contemplate the next cut.

Anyway - thanks so far for all the great advice and inspiration contained with the posts that you all make. So far my own crafts are limited to making romany style clothes pegs, but I am keen to progress.

Yeah I love it, it is hard work but you kind of get immersed in a world that goes way back in time and it is such a feeling of achievement when its done. Good source of wood for the wood burner at home too.
