Unfortunately i've had to admit to myself that i'm just not all that good at heat treatment, my forge is rubbish and my quench tank is too small! However, i've got a couple of blades that need heat treating, if there's a kindly soul out there who can reliably and accurately heat treat them for me then that would be fantastic. I've got money or other items to exchange.

p.s. if the kindly person happened to have a belt grinder and would be willing to give the bevels a once over i would be endlessly grateful.

thanks

Nathan

Shing has a temperature controlled programmable oven. He has done 12c27 and D2 for me which both have complex hardening cycles and they have turned out very well. He only charges about a fiver.

He is widely known both here and on British Blades, is pleasant to deal with and very helpful.

Both his knives and leather work are top notch.
