We’d checked the hydrometer reading and it was 1, so the cider was racked off into a new jar for clearing, this should be still cider and is starting to clear.
I’d a smaller 2 litre plastic bottle as well, so we used some of that to try sparkling cider with secondary fermentation in a couple of bottles that can take pressure.

We bottled the 4.5l jar this morning... almost 9 full bottles and a 3/4 full one.. the cider looks clear and tastes very good. This is a flat cider, certainly tastes fairly strong, very nice! We’ll put them somewhere cool and dark for a few months to see any maturation change.. very pleased with what we’ve got so far, I’ll feel more confident trying next season... (thanks for all the advice and thoughts on this thread!!)

You are strong willed to be able to wait for maturation.....

Would it not be better if you drank then now? What if the maturation goes wrong?
( just gave you an excuse you can tell your wife why you need to drink them now! :) )
