Howdy Y'all,
I'm over in Texas ( once removed descendant , from England), looking for a using broad axe from one of the following makers. #1- Cegga, #2- Neeman, #3- GB #483/1800.
IF anyone has a lead on a good used axe please give me a shout.
Thanks,
aTexasCowboy

If I only did more large scale hewing I would have a Neeman broad axe.

I have indeed. :)

Funny coincidence as it happens....... i've just paid up on BCUSA so i can trade for one. Maybe not that exact one but i'm on the lookout for a 2.5lb cruiser. :)

Heard of the True Temper Kelly Perfect double bit cruiser axe? The one in the " an axe to grind" book?

Thanks Ed :)

Mark - a very kind man has sent me a Kelly Perfect cruiser head as a gift. Will doubtless need a good sharpen and profile, and I'll have to sort a helve out.....but what a lovely thing to work on :). I'm thinking 28" helve.....what do you think?

Nice one mate..:)

For a cruiser.. its got to be 28" :) The double bit you sent me is having a 28" helve on it aswell, kind of a heavy cruiser. But then, i'm a big lad, so will be able to manage the extra pound. :)

I'm going out tomorrow with my son hunting Ash for helves and bow staves. :)
