So, I'm on a scout campsite near the main entrance at night. The moon is not out, it is overcast and there's enough of a forest makes the place extra dark.

My hammock, strung between two trees close to a path at night, handily strung at neck level is a bit of a hazzard - especially since anyone with a torch is looking at the ground for tree roots etc and not at the stealth bomber shaped hammock.

I got round it on that occasion by using LED lit pegs from poundland (4 for £1) however I'd like something a bit more perminant, and was thinking of adding these to the ends of the hammock at the tip of the fly to make it more obvious. That and adding reflective fluorescent paracord instead of the stock black stuff.

I have smaller versions attached where the guy lines join the tarp. They are never going to dazzle you with their brightness, but do stop you losing your tarp or others walking into it.

Search for "bivy zip marker" on...

They are smaller than the ones you have linked to, but only cost £4.99.

Alternatively, Lurch stocks the same ones as your link - check out his price first...

I use the Niteize glowring sticks exactly how you described, they're a bit pricey at around £8 a pop but they last forever.

One here on my Superfly..

Reflective dyneema guylines also help to avoid trips.
