I take it the black allen key screw allows you to turn it over and how do you ensure its not out of true?

The top of the thread underneath the Allen head is bushed out to 9.5 mm to match the bore of the top clamp so it’s a tight fit.

I bought one but haven’t used it as planned. I planned to work on my Dartmoor knife to effectively a Scandi grind. If we can get past that without a debate I’d appreciate it. Instead I have sharpened and honed my kitchen knives and EDC. I bought a Ruixin pro from Amazon with a G clamp to fix to my desk. The stones aren’t great so I’ve bought diamond stones cheaply. Am I going to put my Woodlore on it? No.
