Ah flares... We haven't had a good history of late, flares and I...

They always were a bit of a fashion faux pas

Attach to front of smock/jacket by the ring, when someone asks "whats that?" look at the pin then freak out and dive for cover screaming "GRENADE!"

preferably not in front of anyone with a heart condition...
