Greetings from soggy but nonetheless beautiful Cornwall!l

Hope this message finds you happy, healthy and stress free!

We are a couple in our 30s (actually one of us will be 40 this month - shhh!) that have 4 children, ages 10 - 15. Now that our offspring are getting ever more independent, we are finding snickets of time to run wild ourselves! We thoroughly enjoy being out and about with the kids, particularly pond dipping, rock pooling, camping and cycling, but would really love to start getting out for weekends (with out them - feel bad even typing it!) and fending for ourselves - all rugged GRRR. We love the idea of passing new skills that we learn on to them, we believe that if you are in touch with nature as a child, no matter where your life takes you - everywhere hopefully - it will always be with you and you will have the ability to be aware of the real world around you, something that seems to be lost on a lot of people!
It would seem that there is a wealth of knowledge and skills among the people on this forum and we would very much like to learn from anyone that is willing to share. I think I have probably gone on too much already, looking forward to being a part of it!
