A big hello from a very hot East Sussex! Bushcraft is a recent realisation for me via an outdoorsy type 20's somewhat curtailed by two kids in my 30's and now one is doing scouts and both attend a Forest School run by two great mums and the rest of us muck in. I love social camping and communing around the fire.
Since I became involved I have become obsessed with trees, wood, different ways of making fire and primitive ways of being. Hubby and my eldest are into making longbows and archery, there's a wych elm stave on the landing ready to make a Holmgard bow and a new axe will be making it into our possession soon, I'm sure the neighbours will be impressed. Now I want to up the game and do more bushcraft stuff but need a little guidance, a community of wise persons who know 'stuff' and where you can practise without people getting upset.
I am loving this forum so far.
