Absolutely Gary! Good point (I hope I've made it ssomewhere else on the GPS thread actually! :shock: ). Batteries die, gizmos pack up. Have a backup (also, keep spare batteries). :-D

As well as knowing how to read a map and compass, learn how to use your GPS too! I don't want you walking off the edge of a cliff! :shock:

GPS are good but dont let technogical gizmo's replace common sense and skill - if you use a GPS always carry a compass and a map and know how to use them.
