Well done Sir.
Certainly my IR illuminator gives off a red glow which was a bit off a disappointment the first time I used it ,But I was just wondering if the otter was nosing the air ,perhaps there was a sent on the camera ?
Does the video have any sound ?
Anyway Bravo.......

Nice job Bushwacker, ta for posting. Pretty much all the wildlife that I've caught on our cameras seem to sense something or see the IR light as they do a fair amount of head bobbing.

Lovely shot, great camera positioning. It might save sitting up all night but you've still got to have the fieldcraft to put the camera in the right place.

The IR the camera smell and noise will cause a change in baseline which animals will be aware of but as has been said if they don't feel threatened they will be curious
Oh no I feel a strange compulsion to look at night vision equipment
