I got a beautiful axe in the post yesterday. Had some good fun with it already taking down large portions of a tree in my neighbours garden (mainly thick branches).

It's also sharp enough to shave with (actually managed it last night...took most of my beard off before going with a razor). Now to make a sheath for it from an old belt :)

Really glad you like it! When the expression "shaving sharp" is bandied about, it's not to be taken quite so literally. :lmao:Anyway glad it was up to the task.

Colin, it was manufactured is Goldenberg, a very good name in tools over here in France. This was the first hatchet style fix-headed axe I'd seen, most of the axe heads with Goldenberg stamped into them are the tomahawk style. She's a beauty for sure, tempted to keep it myself but I already have more axes than I have use for.

Again, really pleased you liked it so much. Looking forward to seeing the mask you make for it.

Thanks for the glowing feedback for it.
