good tree website

the royal forestry society website is one of those gems I have just recently discovered - covering much more than just tree I.D such as one can find in the collins tree guide book or similar.

Try sections like 'tree by species' for info on specifics or the 'tree knowledge' for general horizon broadening.
I am not affilliated in any way to this site but thought it an excellent link to get clued up on trees.

Find it at http://www.rfs.org.uk

Yep good link, I like how they've divided 'Trees by Species' into 'Native' , 'Naturalised' and 'Newcomers' - That's answered a few questions I had in my head about a couple of trees I walk past every evening. Cheers
