Good Lambsfoot knife that can be shipped to the USA?

The search for a good lambsfoot on a single blade knife is a long one, especially if you are looking for something like an early to mid-C20th style pin construction slipjoint.

The problem is with those LionSteel ones is they just look awful. All over-buttoned and trying too hard to be liked in this modern, modern world.

The delicate elegance of the real lambsfoot blade compared to the burly purpose of the sheepsfoot should not be overlooked. GEC did an OK one a while ago. It was a bit big and brutal for being a lambsfoot, but still I wish I'd picked one up at the time.

Victorinox did a model just like that, I have it in the knife box, I will get a picture and share.

I suspect you already have leather elbow patches sewn on the sleeves of your tweed jackets, sporting at least one pair of Red Wing boots and a bit of a fan of the Devon Reviewer.

To our OP, sidpost, this chap knows how to do traditional. Personally, I like the Lionsteel modern look and their designs have moved me back in the direction of the old Barlows with swayback handles. We need our old Chesterfield man Zorro to “Oil The Joint”.

The modern version is also very good



And a wildcard version that CRKT made that is very good, handles carving very well. To a point that it is worth making new scales

If you wanted one of the Mole knives then I’m happy to pick one up and ship it to you. I work 5 miles away from one of their stores.

However, if you’re not concerned about spending some money then you should definitely commission Shing to make you one.

Mainly, I use a stockman for the gerainums etc. or an alox Harvester. That Vicckie is really nice.
