Yup Phil, I had been eyeing them up for ages and finally cracked a few months ago.

It is a little heavier than I imagined, which I suppose in a way is no bad thing, it's easy to put together, and is very compact. Personally I am very pleased with it.

The firebowl was a step too far though....I considered it completely unecessary.

Cheers

.........having looked at the link to the other thread, I haven't had the same experience as Bisamratte; mine has coped with pans of water no problems, and I don't find it particularly fiddly to construct. Ok it takes a couple of minutes, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make considering a) the hassle of construction is a lot less than that of carrying a regular grill, and b) when I am bushcrafting is about the only time I am not in a rush!!

Cheers
