I was wondering if anyone knows any good woodland in the southeast of England for bushcraft and who to contact for the relevant permission (ie to camp, have a fire, forage etc).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

As a teenager in Essex in the late 70's I used to volunteer for the Essex Naturalist's Trust ( now Essex Wildlife Trust) and helped with a lot of coppice work in some of their woodlands. Learnt a lot about woodland management and had some good campfires. Wasn't called bushcraft then though !
Maybe the volunteering route would still work today ?
Cheers,
Doug.

I've gone down the volunteer route in Hertfordshire, and as Osprey said it has given me plenty of opportunities, got me in touch with some private landowners and enabled me to do a bit of good in public woodland.
