Anyone interested in a little history, or in scouring "viking" markets for crafts and goods (I'll be on the lookout for some leather goods myself) might care to wander over here:

The Jorvik Viking Centre in York has a number of events planned for February, including markets, re-enactments and forums. I'm hoping to get into the general spirit by getting horribly drunk and ransacking a monastery.
