I think that will be a great seller for them. Battery life is stated as 4-15 hours though so a bit of a hit. They are obviously boosting the voltage internally. Much cheaper cells though so swings and roundabouts

Yeah, though I guess their main use for in diving battery life is still more than adequate.

Would've been interesting if they took 10440s too but don't see that happening.

yea, i got to wondering if the lithium version could be powered on a cr123 lifepo4 rechargeable. they go about 3.2v under load so it might be possible. Potentially an expensive experiment though :D

Well their FAQ says the lithium versions will take 3v 3.2v and 3.6v rcr123s

Cool. a lifepo4 123 will be just the ticket then and ive a few already. Should make the lifetime costs much cheaper as ive heard the lithium eats power when on constant mode

For the hours ive had from mine so far im more than happy with the way it came.
Just ordered a couple more for markers and one to use as a tent light.

I agree John. The cheaper one is fine on the 12v throw away batteres as they are cheap as chips. I can see this might get addictive. What colours did you go for this time?
