I have a carbon companion (my first ever knife, very well used), a Hultafors GK which is about 3weeks old, and I might get a Mora hunter, or the Mora 911 Quicksnap, has anyone had experience with these knifes? (I want something which has a little more heft than a companion, but has a scandi grind, unlike my GK)

I'm leaning towards the 911, also could anyone tell me what grit this sharpening kit is...

Thanks :)

I also want to post a good website that sells a bunch of Mora products.

Why not buy the orange handles Hultafors - they are about £6 from Amazom delivered.

I have the green and orange versions and to be honest, I think they make a perfect pair. For me, it's about 80/20 orange/green for the amount I use each one.

The green one is a bit chunky for all round camp work, but it is a brute for battoning and heavy work - although it's secondary bevel takes a bit of practice to sharpen compared to a Scandi, but it does toughen up the edge.

But for just over a tenner for the pair - use them to perfect skills and sharpening and when you've got a summer under your belt, you'll know exactly what you want in a knife.
