Thought I would post some pics of this knife made from scratch.
I made it for the Knivesuk show for the "from scratch" category but it was
quite rightly overshadowed by Grace Hornes beautiful folder.
I did win another category "from blade blank" see link for pics of that one
http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36929&page=2

Anyway, specs on this one are, 4mm thick 01 carbon steel,
blade 118mm, handle 130mm, 248mm overall, scales are thuya burl,
homemade mosaic aluminium and brass pins, aluminium lanyard hole.
Handle is a little longer by design as I have broad hands, see pics.

Absolutley stunning mate, good to see a knife with a larger handle. I have rather broad hands too and find the handles on most knives too small. Keep up the good work :)

Hi Woodcutter

a work of art !.

One question, how did you get the bird logo on the blade ?

Cheers,

Frank

Its etched, using a method I found on british blades, scatch the design in nail varnish, them dab the design with salt water soaked cotton bud attached to P9 battery.

If its any consolation I prefer yours its a lovely piece of work which Im sure anyone would be proud of
can I ask how much could you produce knives of that quality for

Woodstock, sorry I only just noticed that you asked how much a knife like this one goes for. This one went for £170,
with sheath. I have another one of these on the go, same shape and dimensions if you are interested? I am happy to modify
it I can adjust the shape/size how ever you like, and obviously handle it with scales of your choice, supply with or without
sheath, negociate on price etc. PM if you are interested.

(strange, but on preview i have the word meaning to apologise beginning with "s" in before but on the first line, no matter how many times I edit it will not let me change the above text, and put in this word, bring back the old site)
