Fungi ID please

Hi Bri, i think it could be Willow bracket(Phellinus igniarius) looking at the photos. As to using it as a tinder why not forage one,and check if there is a nice layer of velvety material just under the surface,which could be used as a crude amadou.

I got back and collected a few samples of the fungi.
It is a firm texture and doesent seem to have a amadou layer.
However it looks like a pale brown version of a cramp ball with concentric rings simillar to cramp balls.
I have it laid out to dry and will try droping sparks on it and using it as a tinder extender to see what happens.
