I just thought I'd add to this thread.
As I live in Leicester we have a very large Indian/Asian population and as a result some very interesting shops are to be found.
In one such shop I found a round stainless steel tray in 2 sizes 24cm and 28cm I think. The smaller of the two was a snip at £2.99 so I bought it. It doesn't weigh very much and obviously has no handle, but makes a great camp fire fry pan.
I've just utilised one of the grip type handles off an old aluminium cook set.
This now goes on every trip with me and at less than £3 is an absolute steel "if you pardon the very poor pun"
