Is there anyway to tell if a water filter is damaged?
I have a Webtex inline-I kept it in my trouser pocket to keep warm, but it was so cold, I had ice all over my face.
I had been drying it for 2 weeks and did not need to use it after all, but it now rattles!
Do I need to buy a new one?

i would say so, i think the water that was stuck in the substrate got frozen and split :-(

might be worth speaking to webtex about.

Thanks K, I will ring them. There is nothing in the instructions on the sticker that says anything about freeze damage/drying times.

I was on kinder scout on the worst day of that icy blast-I tried to sleep in a snowhole, but it got too bad. A catalogue of errors on my part, including leaving my warm gloves in the van, meant i started to get hypothermia and had to leg it down.
There was 12ft of snow where we were digging. Good fun all the same, though.
