A couple of friends introduced me to Freecyle recently. Basically it's a neighbourhood recycling scheme. if you have something you want to get rid of, you post it as an email and if someone wants it, they get in touch. You have to join Yahoo Groups, other than that, the basic rules are that your first post has to be offering something and (And this is the best bit) no money is to change hands
The idea is to keep stuff that you would otherwise throw away out of the rubbish tips and land fills and to let someone else make use of it.
