Good to know about the foil coming off. As I understand it the initial batch of flexistove that are out there went walkies from the trials.
The expected production may be different, completely new set up after all.
My assumption is that the original run was intended to have a limited service life, which seems like a backward step over the various crusader models and old esbit style stoves. I’m not sure if it was designed before the BCB Firedragon models?
I can (sort of) see the the idea for something that packs flat and light but better reusability than NATO and Russian fuel tabs heaters which are very flimsy.
Also that can be stored and dished out separately to fuel that might be subject to other conditions, possibly of a bureaucratic nature. But that might just be my cinical imagination…..
