Forging my first knife - help needed

Thanks fellas I'm not sure whether to leave the tang, put a hole In for a pin as Andy suggests, it to grind some If the blade down to the same as the tang so I end up with shorter blade and longer tang. To be fair this knife will never get used so it doesn't really matter anyway

Why wouldn't you use it?.
If it's not getting extensive use, then you have the luxury of options. I'd personally drill a pin hole just to keep your options open.
Get a nice peice of Norwegian wood, simply drill a hole through. Apply epoxy, then sand the handle to your preference.
Even if you don't use it, what a momento of your time there. Anyway stay safe

because it wont really hold an edge and worried it will snap. still going to finish it with a handle and sheath but that is all. hoping to find some nice wood ot here to take back with me forthe handle
