I'm having a stupid think moment! I have a handmade knife (it's at home and i'm at work so I can't post a pic) that has a red dot logo on the blade and I can't think of the name of the maker. I think that unhandled blades were a red dot and complete blades he made were a black dot. It's driving me mad trying to remember....please help!

I agree with Slowworm, though I don't recall him using a black dot. I think it was red dot on the complete knives that he made.
Mark .177. This a custom knife he made for me to my specs, I can't remember..10-12 + years ago possibly?
I remember the maker but not the name. I think you may have the red dot / black dot the wrong way around however? It would make more sense if unfinished blades had just an unpainted dot ( black ) and the actual full finished blades had the added red dot?
As above its mark jabobs a fantastic maker his finished knives had a red dot his blanks had the space but no colour in its a shame he stopped making as he'd made beautiful knives

I have one of Mark's knives here in front of me, Red Dot is indeed the finished article.
