I'm booked on the Forest knights bushcraft course in Arundel on the 31st March - 2nd April and was wondering if anyone else here is booked on it or considering it?

Hope to meet some of you there.

Take Care

Andy... :D

I was just today considering booking myself on a Forest Knights course sometime... only thing is I don't think I'll have saved enough pennies by march, so it'll have to be one later in the year.

I would however really like to know how you all got on and what you thought of it etc!!

Please post something when you get back from it!! :)
Dan

Dan, i'l be sure to let you know how it went.

LOL...Marts, I had forgotten about that! But then again I know where it is and the others may not so we could go for a little walk and then play "get the bushcrafter out the well"

:lmao:

One week to go...I know a couple of people that are going so I look forward to seeing you all next weekend.

Any other faces that are on here that I shall be meeting?

Thats quite a shame - I'm on the Ludlow meet the same weekend :-( would like to meet some of the Hants "crew". Still - I get 5 days of unlimited Welsh Marches hillside so no compalints here!

It's raining.

It's REALLY raining.

We are going to be bushcrafting in a swamp.

I may take a snorkle.

LOL the track to the site gets water logged very easilly so make sure you have some good footwear with ya :D

The bad weather will be good, a chance to make sure the skills you learn can be used in any weather :D :D

Friday and Saturday and looking like they will be rainy with a bit of sunshine. Sunday is looking promising though. Sure it will all change before then though.

Hey don't tell everyone or they will all want a muddy track. Good boots are advisable for the walk in.

I've checked the web site for the kit list. It seems to have 2 new entries. "Wetsuit" and "Arm Bands (or other flotation device)". I'm sure they weren't there a few days ago.

Well I am back from my first properly instructed bushcraft course and I am still buzzing. It was fantastic. I managed fire by both hand drill and bow drill and I have learnt so much and refreshed on loads too. Wayne :You_Rock_ Please give my sincere thanks to your instructors again, so keen to show their crafts and to pass on their experience and great people too. Cook did a marvelous job as well, lovely food. It was nice to see you guys who I have met before and to see new faces, Useless, you are not useless.
That goes down as one of my best weekends....................Jon (buzzzzzzzzzz)
