I have to second everything Jon has said, a great weekend that was packed with informative and well thought out lessons from a team that knows the subjects and are happy to pass on there knowledge.

You experience so many highs over the weekend as you succeed in the different tasks and on returning home it takes some time remembering everything you covered over the weekend. It is also hard to decide which you enjoyed most.

I specifically went on this course to refresh old skills but i learnt plenty of new ones.

A great course, in a great location, run by :You_Rock_ people ;)

I have to agree with all that has been said.

On my way home I was wondering what could have been improved. I may have some ideas, but I think the staff team encourgaed people to ask questions and shape the programme. I wanted some help on securing a tarp, for example, and so at one point I was taken away with two tutors and shown. Others did some tracking stuff whilst I got my personalised lesson! That was the distinguishing feature, no assumption that everyone knew something, and plenty of opportunity to get alongside a tutor and ask basic and daft questions without taking the risk in front of strangers.

I also felt very welcomed by the course participants. It was clear that many knew each other well, and this can create a problem with groups having an "inner core" and an "outer core" membership. However, everyone was welcoming and also encouraging. A great help given my rather limited abilities.

A good time had by all, I think. Well played to staff and participants.

And i must add a big thank you to Bloody Useless for entertaining us with his guitar in the evenings :lmao:

Well i can only really echo what ahs already been said.

What a fantastic weekend.

Some great lessons led by very informative instructors. Like Useless said, all of them were more than happy to expand upon or go at tangents to the sylabus that was prepared.

Learnt a host of new skills and corrected some that perhaps I wasn't doing to the best efficiency  or perhaps the safest either

We were also provided with an excellent feast of food throughout the day, all meals were expertly cooked over the open fire and tasted blumming lovely! No ration packs or kitchen cooked meals to be found. :D

They were also more than happy to cater for a vegetarian and someone with an allergy to fish and took great efforts to ensure no cross contamination.

So many many many thanks to Wayne and his team of instructors for a most excellent weekend.

I'm off to practise my new found skill sets.

Guys :You_Rock_ THANKS TO YOU ALL.

Andy.

Well, what can I say, I wish I was taught at school how Wayne and the other instructors taught us this weekend..............I would have learned a lot more.

The whole atmosphere and the people who attended the course was fantastic from start to finish. All the subjects that were covered were very well put across so there was very little time wasted asking the instructors to repeat what they were explaining.

The food and overall hospitality was top notch and now sorely missed as Im back on my diet.

As for the weather it rained mainly in the evening so didn't really affect what was being taught.

My only criticisms are...................The weekend went to quickly and everyone moaned at my jokes!!! :D

Finally I would like to say a big thank you to wayne and the rest of the instructors and how good it was to meet aload of fun and likable people.

Money well spent :D :D :D
