Hi there everyone. I'm interested in learning the art of foraging for wild food. Can anyone recommend any courses near the Worcester or midlands area please? Or are there any of you guys out there that would be good enough to dispense any of your knowledge to a novice such as myself.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Neil
There's some good books that are worth getting hold of to help you with your foraging:

Food for Free: Richard Mabey
Wild Food and Mushrooms: Roger Philips
A Cook on the Wild Side: Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall

Its worth getting hold of some good field guides for cross referencing, as some of our posionous plants look very simular to edible ones.

As for schools Ive not heard of any in your area. THe Wild Food School looks worth a look www.countrylover.co.uk/wfs though Ive not been on a course myself.
Not quite the question you asked! P.S Welcome to the forum. Ed
