Wow, a giant harvestman! Fantastic. 
Looks like a Leiobunid. Their leg spans are often quite silly compared to their body length, but that is absurd. 330mm leg span, and a 6mm body. So 324mm is leg, or put another way the longest legs are each around 27 times as long as the body!
Ridiculous article though. The creature is about as dangerous to people as your average butterfly.

I thought of you right away when I saw the story- your username immediately came to mind!
And yes, I agree, the article was somewhat silly, definitely taking away from an important discovery.
That's certainly bigger than a Daddy Longlegs but other than that it looks just exactly like one. As Harvestman says, they're UNdangerous.
