I was born in California in 1968, both my parents worked in the aeronautical industry and I had one sister. We moved to Washington DC when I was young after my father got a post at NASA as an antenna specialist. After graduated at high school I spent the summer travelling in my Datsun and then enrolled at Emory University where I received a bachelors degree in history and anthropology.
In May 1990 I gave away the remainder of my of my savings to Oxfam and embarked on the adventure of a lifetime using a different name. I travelled through Arizona, California and South Dakota picking up work where I could. In 1991 with minimal kit I paddled a canoe down the Colorado River into the Gulf of California.
In 1992 my ultimate dream came true, I hitched a lift to Fairbanks, Alaska and then onto the Stampede Trail.
Any more clues and it's just too easy
