Waiting for a folder to arrive from NZ. I need a sheath/pouch that isn't in the way of the pack waiststrap. Anybody seen a folder dangler sheath? Or maybe som other solution?

Or do I have to carry it in a pocket?

It's a peasant knife, and I read in an review that the sheath wasn't so good. Anyway, the sheath is carried in the belt, so I gather that it would be quite high. (unless I get a par of really low jeans ;))

It shouldn't be too difficult to make one, I daresay that singtec would make you one if you are after boxwall construction and using 2.5mm veg tanned it wouldn't take too long to make a wetform for one either.

I'ves found with some belt loops I can fit a grimlock (mapedition) through and use a loop of webbing to lower the sheath

I''m sure it's a good solution, but webbing won't cut it this time..

Hmmm, that's sounds like an idea. I visioned some kind of box constuction with a dangler. Singtec?

The sheath is a fairly simple slip pouch with a couple of slits in the back for your belt.

Is as much as safety thing as anything else as it stops the blade from opening in your pocket or pack.
You can use a length of para cord for neck carry and a shorter loop for belt carry but the pouch is pretty soft and won't take much abuse.

I made a pouch sheath for one last year from more substantial leather , can't find any pic's at the moment but it was pretty much the same shape as the standard pouch but on a dangler loop.

I think they look good if you refinish them in a dark stain and they really look good when they get worn and well used with a nice patina on the blade.

you could use a bit of leather

basicaly I used a grimlock and some webbing to get the same effect as rapidboy whilst not needing any of the skill but it doesn't look so good
