Well
when I got the call this morning telling me that work was being canceled today as the supply place wasnt going to deliver the door and window due to heavy rains and flash flooding I decided, as usual, to go see the creeks and see how much water was in them. The pics arent the best as it was raining most of the time I was out there but some turned out pretty good.
If you have seen my other pictures of the creeks then you have seen pics taken from these same viewpoints but they look a little different this time.
This is Suck Creek (there is actually a reason for the name, its an interesting story if you want to google it just do a search on The Suck on the Tennessee River it was feared during the Civil War.) There was no water at all the last time I was here at the end of the summer.
I have been wondering what caused this for a few years now the tree still lives on.
Leaving Suck Creek, I rode up to see what Middle Creek was like. I found several fungi while walking there
still ferns moss and lichens out nice and green
and some plants I want to identify.
The walk in, parts of the trail are under water
The water was really rolling
