I bought one of the British Army Virtus rucksacks because I thought the oyster opening design and bottom nappy flap for large items such as roll mats would be useful.
However, the straps for the nappy are the same ones for the lid and this limits its usefullness. It also prevent using the oyster opening feature. Apparently the squaddies found the same and ignored it.
I might trry some mods; A nappy flap over the top of a brain lid would be of more use, since big items weigh more and it would stabilise them better than the top flap. Also, maybe a rucksack rain cover sewn/built in above the lid. Then it is instantly to hand and cannot get lost or blown off.
