Fishtrap or laundry basket?

After teaching my first basketry course yesterday without a single complaint and all the participants going away with well made baskets I decided to celebrate today by weaving a basket lol, I didn't really have anything in mind that I need it for( I've got over 150 in my shed) at this stage http://m1359.photobucket.com/albumv...VNb6G05t/9Uc2bXPFl/8e6RJP99aNqFGwjee1zB2ozbc= its a perfect size for a laundry basket but my bushcrafty eye has notice that if I continue weaving till it 10 foot long and weave a funnel on the end I'll have a very large fish trap.Is it worth making a fish trap in this manner or should I stop here?

Just noticed its a lot bigger than it looks in the picture, at the top its a full hug sized and 3 ft high
