For those among us who are not keen fishermen but have a passing interest in a bushcraft/foraging capacity, lidls have on offer a wide variety of very inexpensive fishing kits ideal for putting together a good survival fishing kit, or even to fill up a hobo hand line.....

i bought a wee telescopic rod from there a few weeks back, havnt tried it yet but it looks like it will do the job as a wee rod to take with me.

Can't argue with the price. I picked up a 6 pack of Herring traces last night for £2.99.

I dont know much about fishing, but just constructed a wooden hobo handreel (see below) and purchased a rod license. Would be very keen in some kit to get me started
