He was not banned because he held different views. He asked to have his account deleted, so we obliged him.
Don't threaten to leave unless you mean it, basically.

You can hold whatever views you wish, however when you signed up to become a member you agreed not to discuss certain views here (amongst other things). Sometimes folks stray into territory that the forum isn't about, sometimes we'll give a bit of leeway.

The member in question was given not one but two warnings, he didn't like that and asked for us to delete his account, we'd actually just done that anyway based on some other things he was trying to pull in the last minutes of his membership.

He posted some really useful stuff, it is a pity really, but y'know, some folks.
