i was out walking yesterday when i noticed the whimberrys had come out luckily had some carrier bags with me now ive got 2 carrier bags full i think its pie time

makes sense heatherr berry i always see them growing together
i go to entwistle reservoir near darwen for them its full of them round there

The only berries around here at the mo are rowans.
How do you make that then would like to try it? I have made flavoured vodkas with fruit before is it the same method equal quantitys by volume of fruit and sugar?
How much berrys do you use I normally have a mug full of fruit in a 70cl bottle with same of sugar.
I tend to half fill a bottle with fruit, pour in the sugar so it covers the fruit and then fill to the brim with vodka. I give the bottle a good shake every now and again, our current bottle is from 2006 and its great - unlike sloe gin it takes a couple of years to come good.
