first venture into leatherwork-a brace of tinder pouches

so usually i am happy to purchase leather goods from the multitude of highly skilled folk on this site, however i have always fancied a go myself but wanted something relatively simple to start with.
With help and advice from decorum (many thanks mate:You_Rock_) i have come up with these little beauties
leatherwork002.jpg
oiled leather one with artificial sinew thread and one with waxed cotton

incidentally the awl pictured is an antique one that belonged to my great great grandfather who was a cobbler (i broke the new one i purchased with the leather oops  dont know my own strength)

i was warned leatherworking could become addictive and they were right! already have few more plans in my head
anyways thanks for looking
Sam

Looking good Sam! - you'll be putting me out of business soon :lmao:

what's the oiled leather like to work? - does it feel oily if that makes sense...
