First try at leather work

Hi,

I'm wanting to get some things together to make a few leather pouches/ tool roll. I'm finding the world of leather terminogy a little overwhelming. Does anyone know of a good resource I could look at or link me to a thread (I have tried searching the forum) or suggest a basic range of equipment and possible the most appropriate type of leather?

Also look on Ebay for leather scraps to practoce on. Made my first Axe cover - bit heath Robinsonish but I learnt a lot.

No1 is don't par away lather when finger is in way and also blood stains leather
