Was over in Arran at the weekend and finally got round to my first solo camp 
I camped about a mile outside Brodick on the beach and it was awesome really enjoyed the peace of being alone. I also managed to light my first fire with a fire steel and all natural materials, I usually either use non natural tinder or shop bought wood but this time it was dry grass and dead wood
I spent Friday night alone on the beach and met some of my friends on the Saturday off the ferry. We dumped our stuff at the Glen Rosa campsite and then headed off up Goatell. scenerey is gorgeous up there and I will definitely be back to walk the coastal route, although not in this heat!!
