First post for new member in East Sussex

Hello, just joined this forum after staying up much of last night due to the "Fear of the Dark" thread (2 hours reading it, another few not being able to sleep because of it!).

I've been interested in bushcraft/survival since I was very little but haven't really done much, especially since "growing up". I've got a Frosts Mora clipper, a Swedish Firesteel and a cocker spaniel, can't think of much else I need

Tried most of yesterday to make fire with a bow. After some trial and error got reasonable smoke using hazel but no embers to get going on my tinder

I live near Lewes with my wife and daughter

Yep- welcome along! You live in a great area for bushcraft! Oh, and make sure you visit the Weald Woodfair not too far from you in September- i went a few years back, and it was great for bushcrafty demos etc.
